122 tornadoes formed last time |
| At least 2 million people face possible tornadoes in Texas and Oklahoma, the Storm Prediction Center warned Monday. Parts of Texas and Oklahoma, including all of Oklahoma City, were at "high risk" for severe weather – the most serious of five risk categories. The latest forecast raised tornado probabilities to 45% from northwest Texas into central Oklahoma, the center said in its midday forecast. This means there's a 45% chance of a tornado forming within 25 miles of any spot in the area. The last time a 45% tornado outlook was issued was before an outbreak in Oklahoma and Kansas on April 14, 2012, when 122 tornadoes formed, killing 6 people. |

| The number of measles cases in the U.S. keeps climbing despite efforts to stop the disease once eliminated here nearly two decades ago. Another 41 cases were reported last week, raising this year's total to 880, the CDC reported Monday. That's the highest annual total since 1994, and the year isn't half over yet. Measles has been reported in 24 states, with Oklahoma joining the list this week. Most cases remain in New York City and its suburbs. But there's (kind of?) good news: The number of additional cases was the lowest in several weeks. The week prior saw 75 new cases. |
Trump's at it with the Times (again) |
| Anti-money laundering specialists flagged transactions involving President Donald Trump and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, the New York Times reported, and now Trump's back at it with the newspaper. Software made to spot illegal activity alerted Deutsche Bank staff to the transactions, but executives for the bank – which issued huge loans to Trump and Kushner – directed staff not to report them to the Treasury Department, per to the Times. Trump did not address the reported suspicious activity on Monday, instead focusing on the article's assertion that Deutsche Bank was one of the only major lenders willing to give him money. The Times will "pass away when I leave office in 6 years," Trump tweeted Monday. |

Sunday's series finale of "Game of Thrones" induced (surprise!) heated reactions, with 60% of you voting on Twitter that you hated it. "Iron Throne" is an episode that will go down as one of the most controversial finales of all time. But, at least we finally got confirmation that Ghost is definitely a good boy. |
