You never want to catch your vacuum smoking.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission says Bissell is recalling its multi-surface cordless vacuum after it received several reports of the battery pack smoking and catching fire.

Bissell said the battery pack's circuit board can overheat, causing it to smoke and increasing the risk of fire.

The vacuum maker issued the recall after Bissell said it received dozens of reports of the battery smoking, including five in which it caught fire, according to the CPSC.

One report resulted in a burn while three caused minor property damage, the CPSC said.

All the details are here.
