'No survivors' after plane plummets into river near Washington, DC

Emergency units respond on Jan. 30, 2025 after a passenger aircraft collided with a helicopter in the Potomac River near Ronald Reagan Washington Airport on Jan. 29 in Arlington, Virginia. An American Airlines flight from Wichita, Kansas collided with an Army helicopter while approaching Ronald Reagan National Airport.

American Airlines Flight 5342 from Wichita, Kansas, was attempting to land when it collided in midair with a Blackhawk helicopter.
