Senate unanimously agrees to release records

The Epstein Files Transparency Act heads to President Donald Trump's desk for signature after the House and Senate voted through the legislation on Tuesday.

What it means: The measure would require the federal government to publicly release as much information as possible about convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

An overwhelmingly bipartisan House vote: Every single Democrat, and almost every Republican, voted yes on the bill.
But the files still may not come out. Attorney General Pam Bondi could potentially cite ongoing investigations into Democrats linked to Epstein as a reason not to release them.
Epstein survivors helped draft the bill. The legislation includes measures that will protect survivors, including redactions of their personal information.

Trump woos a Saudi prince at the White House

President Donald Trump welcomed Mohamad bin Salman, the Saudi Arabian crown prince with a highly-criticized human rights record, to the White House on Tuesday for a glowing meeting brimming with promises of military and economic deals.

It was a stunning attempt at rehabilitating the image of the prince, whom the CIA concluded had ordered the 2018 assassination of Washington Post columnist Saudi Jamal Khashoggi in a Saudi consulate in Istanbul. Trump dismissed concerns about bin Salman's alleged role in the murder of Khashoggi.
