Today's Opinions

Wed Nov 19 2025

House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-Louisiana, applauds at the White House in Washington, DC, as President Donald Trump signs the funding bill to end the U.S. government shutdown on Nov. 12, 2025.

The government shutdown was already the country's longest, and it was starting to have real-life consequences for many Americans.

Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Kentucky, flanked by U.S. Reps. Ro Khanna, D-California, and Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Georgia, speaks on the Epstein Files Transparency Act ahead of a House vote on Nov. 18, 2025.

House just voted to release the Epstein files. See how easy that was?

President Donald Trump speaks to reporters in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Nov. 16, 2025, as he boards Air Force One en route to Washington, DC.

Trump failed to bury the Epstein files. Don't believe him now.

Trump knows that his usually loyal Republican allies in the House are about to abandon him and his desperate efforts to keep the Epstein files locked.

Apartment for Rent sign.

Rent control is nothing more than a socialist bribe

The devastating effects of rent controls are well-documented, and the policy is even more disproven by basic economics.

A jar of pennies surrounded by pennies.

What happens to prices without pennies? Don't round to nickels just yet.

The end of the penny strikes a blow against an annoying American scam. Even though it was ordered by a serial grifter, Lincoln would be pleased.

The Army uniform of Maj. Erica Vandal.

The Army honored me for leading troops under fire. Then Trump banned me.

Transgender service members like me were given a 'choice' between being purged from the military 'voluntarily' or 'involuntarily.' What comes next?

All of the headlines, none of the chaos.
