Good morning, Daily Money! It's Josh Rivera again, with the top headlines from USA TODAY's Money & Tech team. |
This is month six of working from home for me, and in month one I was ready! I started with a rigid schedule with alarms set as reminders to myself to "do something active," but as time went on – and work got increasingly more hectic – those reminders now serve as "get some coffee" time. As the school year begins, many kids around the nation will be facing similar ordeals us "WFHomers" do. Thankfully, our tech columnist Jennifer Jolly has some advice on making online schooling less "painful." A good chair and a laptop riser can go a long way – for kids and those WFH. |
In sweeter headlines, Little Debbie is turning its Oatmeal Creme Pies into a breakfast cereal. And if you're thinking to yourself, "hey, there's a lot of new breakfast items," you'd be right. As the pandemic continues, Americans are indulging in comfort food. Breakfast items, in particular, are enjoying a resurgence. ( Check out this story our colleague Nathan Bomey did on this trend back in April.) |
And in not so sweet news, a new survey by Amazon, conducted by Morning Consult, found that more than half of the U.S. workers seeking work say their job hunt is due to the coronavirus pandemic. The tech company released the poll ahead of a career fair it is hosting on Sept. 16 to fill tens of thousands of positions. |
