Good morning, it's finally Fri-YAY! It's Medora, and I am happier than usual for the weekend. That's because after a week of soaring temperatures and very high humidity, Chicago will get a chill...all the way down to 85 degrees on Saturday! Let's hope it lasts.

Another thing we hope lasts: inflation continues to cool. A report this morning showed the Federal Reserve's preferred inflation gauge just fell to a more than two-year low in June. That doesn't mean, though, prices are dropping, just that they aren't rising as fast.

So, we're stuck with higher prices, which means many people are still loving deals. We've found some for you: Saturday is National Chicken Wing Day , which means places like Popeyes, Buffalo Wild Wings, Hooters and more will have great meal deals. In between snacking on wings, some states are kicking off sales tax holidays for back-to-school supplies. You can see if you live in one of these states here and what to expect.
