Lyles comes up bronze (and positive for COVID-19) | Noah Lyles didn't look like himself at the Paris Olympics on Thursday night – and not just because he didn't win the 200 meters, his signature event. Lyles, who has a history of asthma, ran the race despite testing positive for COVID-19, and after the race, he received medical attention and collapsed into a wheelchair. Lyles had hoped to be the first American man in 40 years to achieve a rare "sprint double" after winning the 100 meters on Sunday. 👉 What we know so far. |
Race medals: Botswana's Letsile Tebogo snagged gold with a time of 19.46 seconds, while U.S. sprinter Kenny Bednarek captured silver at 19.62. And Lyles clocked in at 19.70 for bronze. 🏅 See how it all played out. | Bronze medalist Noah Lyles lays on the track after the men's 200-meter final at Stade de France in Paris on Thursday.
