Image of Melania Trump at Carter funeral is altered

The image is digitally altered. NBC News footage of former President Jimmy Carter's funeral shows Melania Trump holding the program right-side up.

The image originated from the account of an artist who labeled it as a fabrication.

Fire officials from both states say no engines were prevented from entering California and none of the vehicles underwent any emissions testing.

The video wasn't captured during the January 2025 fires in Los Angeles. It dates back to December 2017 in Ventura County, California.
