'A very long grab'

Taylor Swift testified in court Thursday that an ex-radio DJ "definitely" grabbed her bare bottom during a pre-concert photo shoot in 2013. "It was a definite grab. A very long grab," Swift told the jury. "It was a very shocking thing that has never happened to me before." After just over an hour, Swift left the stand without being cross-examined. Former Denver radio host David Mueller denies deliberately groping her. Swift and Mueller are battling each other in dueling lawsuits over whether he groped her four years ago, when she was 23 and he was 51, and whether she and her mother and management team got him fired.

More fire, more fury

What's tougher than "fire and fury?" President Trump said Thursday that "you'll see" as he doubled down on his threat to North Korea. Amid criticism that his fiery threat earlier this week to the rogue nation might backfire and inflame tensions, the president took it a step further saying the comment maybe "wasn't tough enough." North Korea, already causing global anxiety with its nuclear program, further escalated the tension by saying it was drafting an attack plan to fire missiles toward the U.S. territory of Guam.

Flip on the Facebook

Facebook wants to be all the things: Friends, foodie, chat bot, virtual hangout and now it also wants to be a new source for shows. The social network launched TV — called Watch — on Thursday to select users. It will offer regularly scheduled, appointment viewing, to Facebook. Netflix shouldn't worry. Most people probably haven't heard of the shows announced. They include social media influencer David Lopez showing off a day in his life, woodworker Tommy Mac's tutorials and Major League Soccer players relaying stories from the field. Needs more dragons.

Do we need to arrange a big 'Trading Spaces' for the housing market?

Looking for a house to buy and coming up short? It's not just you — there really are fewer homes on the market. The lowest in 20 years , in fact. Why? In a word, Boomers. Turns out 78% of Baby Boomers own a home, and they're staying put. And there are more people in that age group than in past years. People ages 55-74 made up 21% of the population in 2015, compared to 16% in 1985. Even though some Boomers might be thinking about downsizing, they also face the same housing shortages. Millennials in smaller houses might be interested in buying some of the Boomers' bigger suburban homes, but since they're not available, Millennials are staying put, too. So should we organize a big housing swap?

Yikes. Walmart's 'terrible' back-to-school gun display

It was either an insensitive promotion or a very bad joke. Either way, Walmart was apologizing over and over for a gun display that urged students to "Own the school year like a hero." A photo of the display went viral Wednesday, causing the company to send out dozens of apology tweets to angry posters. "What's seen in this photograph would never be acceptable in our stores," the company said in a statement. As of Thursday, the company was still trying to determine which store had the display and launched a team to investigate. The company is not ruling out the possibility the photo was doctored or part of a prank.

What hearing loss has to do with Cuba-U.S. relations

Two Cuban diplomats in Washington were sent home after a group of American diplomats in Havana experienced severe unexplained hearing loss, purportedly the result of an incident involving a covert sonic device. Yes, you read that right. The baffling tale was referred to cryptically on Wednesday by the State Department, which called the expulsion of the two Cubans a "reciprocal measure." OK. The Cuban government denied any wrongdoing and called expelling its diplomats "unjustified and baseless."
