Manhunt underway after mass shooting in Kansas |
Four people were dead, five more wounded and a manhunt was underway Sunday for possibly two gunmen following a shooting rampage at a bar in Kansas City, Kansas, police said. Police spokesman Thomas Tomasic said witnesses indicated that the suspects left the private club Tequila KC after an altercation, but came back later and started shooting. When police arrived, officers found the bodies of four Latino men ranging in age from 20s to 50s, though investigators do not believe the shootings were racially motivated. "We believe this was an isolated incident," Tomasic said. "We do not believe these suspects are going to go out and do this again." |

Second whistleblower on Trump-Ukraine call to come forward |
A second whistleblower "in connection to" the call between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, will be coming forward, according to that person's attorney. Described as an intelligence official, the second whistleblower "has firsthand knowledge of some of the allegations outlined in the original complaint," according to his attorney Mark Zaid. The first complaint helped spark an impeachment inquiry by revealing details of a call in which Trump pressured Zelensky to open an investigation into former Vice President Joe Biden's son Hunter Biden. Rep. Chris Stewart, when asked on "Fox News Sunday" about the second whistleblower, said it doesn't matter: "This person is going to come forward and say, yep the president had this phone call," said Stewart. "And yep, we have this transcript. Why should I care at all?" |

Key witness in Dallas officer's trial killed |
A witness in the murder trial of a white Dallas police officer who fatally shot her black neighbor was killed in a shooting on Friday, the Dallas Morning News reported, citing authorities. Joshua Brown, 28, lived in the same apartment complex as former police officer Amber Guyger and Botham Jean when Guyger shot Jean to death in September 2018. Brown testified in Guyger's trial about the night that Jean was killed, saying he was in a hallway on the fourth floor, where he and Jean lived. He said he heard what sounded like "two people meeting by surprise" and then two gunshots. Guyger was convicted and sentenced to 10 years in prison. |
