Happy Monday, Daily Money readers. It's Brett Molina here to deliver the latest news in Money and Tech.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, many Americans have been working from home. It's a trend that will likely stay with us for a while as businesses weigh whether they need all the office space. If more workers do their jobs remotely, it could lead to a significant downsizing of the office market, potentially hurting the restaurants and other retailers built around them.

Are you among the millions of Americans who are waiting to receive unemployment claims? States have been struggling to keep up with the unprecedented demand for assistance amid historic layoffs caused by the pandemic. According to nonprofit think tank The Century Foundation, 57% of unemployment applications have been paid.

Finally, Tax Day may have moved to July 15, but many of the deals and freebies that come with it did not. But not all is lost: today is National French Fry Day.
