The Daily Money: Homebuilders warn of a 'housing recession'

Homebuilders in the U.S. are warning of a 'housing recession.' Plus, the Girl Scouts introduce a new cookie for selling season. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Happy Tuesday, Daily Money readers. It's Brett Molina back with a fresh batch of headlines.

Let's begin with recalls. Several companies have announced them. Here's a breakdown.

Capri Sun. Kraft Heinz issued a recall of more than 5,700 cartons of Wild Cherry flavored drinks contaminated with cleaning solution used on food processing equipment, the company said.

Frozen pizza. Illinois-based Home Run Inn Frozen Foods is recalling more than 13,000 pounds of frozen pizza due to a possible metal contamination.

Infant swings and rockers. More than 2 million infant swings and rockers featuring brands MamaRoo and RockaRoo are being recalled over entanglement and strangulation hazards after a 10-month-old baby died from asphyxiation.

🏠 Homebuilders warn of 'housing recession' 🏠

Homebuilder sentiment, which surveys how homebuilders feel about the housing industry, is down for an eighth straight month. And they're warning we might be approaching a "housing recession." Although there's no clear definition of what that means, it typically involves several key metrics in the housing industry such as single-family permits showing signs of weakness.
