Some Americans have been calling for stimulus checks to be issued from cuts at Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency. The quasi-government agency has made drastic cuts across multiple federal agencies, and thousands of workers have been fired or put on administrative leave. But there has been no indication that DOGE will issue a stimulus check as a result of the cost-cutting measures. DOGE has claimed to save the government $55 billion, but evidence of this sum on the department website consists of primarily contracts canceled in departments targeted by the Trump administration. A$AP Rocky verdict: Rapper found not guilty |
Following three weeks of testimony, on A$AP Rocky — born Rakim Mayers — was acquitted of all criminal charges in the case, which stemmed from a 2021 incident in which he allegedly fired a gun in the direction of Terrell Ephron — formerly A$AP Relli — in Hollywood, California. After a juror read out their first verdict, an ecstatic Rocky, huddling with his defense attorneys, leapt up and into the audience, where his longtime partner Rihanna was reportedly seated.
