Good morning, Daily Money team, it's Nathan joining you once again! |
💳 🚗🚀 PayPal, Tesla, SpaceX. |
Elon Musk has built some serious wealth. He is now worth more than a fifth of a trillion dollars – and that makes him the richest person in the world, according to the newly updated Bloomberg Billionaires Index. |
Keep in mind that net worth estimates are just that ... estimates. It's hard to say for certain what Elon Musk is worth ($222 billion, according to Bloomberg) since a good chunk of his wealth is tied up in a private company, SpaceX. |
Also, he has a lot of side projects, like his tunnel-boring company, and who knows how much he spends on those? |
But if these figures are right, he's worth $30.4 billion more than space rival and erstwhile Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos. |
