Amazon's entering it second and final day of its Prime Day sales. It's not too late to nab some bargains on Amazon or at some of the e-commerce giant's competitors. Retailers like Walmart, Kohl's. Macy's and Best Buy often launch sales of their own to compete during Prime Day. |
It's a great time to pick up a little something something for yourself or get a jump on holiday shopping. Analysts will be watching these sales numbers closely to gauge people's spending mood for the holiday season, which can often make up a quarter or more of a retailer's annual sales. |
Student debt forgiveness: easy peasy |
The White House gave people a first look at the application for student debt forgiveness application qualified people will have to complete and submit to get their loan cancellation. As promised, it looks pretty simple. Even so, the White House says it's not ready yet to go live but it will be sometime this month. Stay tuned. |
Divorced people will also get to sever ties further to take advantage of loan cancellations. President Joe Biden signed a bill allowing couples who combined their student loans when they were married to separate the debt, opening up the possibility for some of these borrowers to have part of their debt forgiven. |
