Some major retailers are trying to prevent stressed-out parents from hoarding children's pain medications that are in short supply. CVS Health has imposed a two-product limit on those medicines whether you pick them up at a pharmacy or order online, while Walgreens is limiting online orders to no more than six over-the-counter children's fever-reducing medications. |
But don't panic. Other stores may have whatever medicine you're looking for, and generic versions can work just as well, experts say. |
Hold the egg nog? |
You will likely pay a lot more this year to prepare your holiday feast. While inflation is easing a bit, food prices were up 12% in November compared to a year ago according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. |
Eggs might give you the most sticker shock with prices up 49% over last year. But butter isn't far behind, costing 27% more, while the price of pies and tarts is up 19%. |
