Moon lander expected to lose power after it tipped over

Steve Altemus, CEO and co-founder of Intuitive Machines, presents a model of Odysseus tipped on its side in the position the company believes it landed on the surface of the moon Thursday. The first American spaceship on the moon since Apollo likely face-planted into the dirt after catching on a rock during its landing, the company said Friday.

Flight controllers expected to lose contact Tuesday with the dying Odysseus lunar lander just days after it toppled over while landing on the moon.
