Harris v. Trump poll: Americans trust the election count … but worry about violence |
So, what happens after the results? The presidential election between Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Kamala Harris is razor thin. A new USA TODAY/Suffolk University poll found most Americans are confident the election will be accurate, but there are fears of violence. Read more. |
| • | 80% of voters said they are "very" or "somewhat" confident that the election will be accurately counted and reported, the poll found. | | • | On accepting election results: Harris voters by an overwhelming 88% to 7% said they were prepared to accept the results of the election as fair and accurate. If Trump loses, his backers by 61% to 24% said they would accept the results. | | • | Two-thirds of those surveyed are "very" or "somewhat" concerned about the possibility of political violence on or after Election Day. Only 31% are "not very" or "not at all" concerned. | |

Former White House chief of staff John Kelly accused former President Donald Trump of having no understanding of the Constitution or the rule of law during an interview with The New York Times. Not many, apparently. Trump and Harris have made podcast appearances a significant role in the campaigns. Harris appeared on "Call Her Daddy" and Trump was on "This Past Weekend with Theo Von." Nearly 72% of respondents said that they had not seen Harris on a podcast and 77.5% said that they had not seen a Trump podcast appearance. Read more. |
