It's a coin-toss contest at this point. Heading into the final two weeks before Election Day, Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are essentially tied, according to an exclusive USA TODAY/Suffolk University Poll. |
By the numbers: The survey puts Harris at 45%, Trump at 44% , a closer race than the poll found in August, when Harris led Trump by 5 percentage points. Oscar unleashes a deluge on Cuba |
Dumping heavy rainfall on eastern Cuba on Monday, Oscar, the smallest hurricane ever recorded in the Atlantic Basin, is now a tropical storm and expected to turn to the northwest later this week. Oscar made landfall in Cuba as a Category 1 hurricane on Sunday evening amid a widespread power blackout on the island nation. Biden proposes free OTC birth control |
In a proposal that would mark the most sweeping expansion of contraception coverage under the Affordable Care Act in more than a decade, President Joe Biden is proposing a new rule that would require private insurers to cover the cost of over-the-counter contraception without additional costs to patients. |
Getting specific: The ACA already requires that most private insurance plans cover contraception – but it applies only to prescription birth control pills, not over-the-counter contraception.
