Extreme cold, major snow likely for millions across US: See maps

A massive wet, cold and windy storm is forecast to sweep through the Midwest and the eastern portion of the country through Jan. 26, with a moderate risk for heavy snow, ice accumulations and frigid temperatures, potentially as cold as some have seen in years, the National Weather Service warns.
