Photographer of famous 9/11 firefighter photo retraces his steps 25 years later

NEW YORK, N.Y., 03/10/2016 — OCULUS / WORLD TRADE CENTER TRANSPORTATION HUB: Jorge Zambrana, a civil engineer from Bolivia, photographs the newly opened World Trade Center Transportation Hub, known as the Oculus, in Lower Manhattan. Designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, the glass-and-steel structure opened to the public on March 3, 2016, and serves as the centerpiece of the rebuilt World Trade Center complex. Zambrana, who works in Lower Manhattan and had followed the
project throughout its construction, compared the striking design to the glass pyramid at the Louvre Museum in Paris. Photo by Thomas E. Franklin.
