A lot of people could lose their health insurance

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) released its analysis on the cost and impact of the Republican's proposed legislation, the American Health Care Act, to repeal and overhaul the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare.  It estimates that 14 million Americans could lose their health care coverage in 2018, and 24 million by 2026 . It also found that by 2026, 52 million would be uninsured. The CBO's analysis could make the controversial legislation even tougher for GOP leaders to push through Congress. No surprise, Democrats are fiercely opposed to the legislation.  Need a refresher on the CBO?  It's an independent, non-partisan office that analyzes the budgetary impact of proposed legislation. Because it puts strong importance on objectivity, lawmakers across the aisle trust the CBO's analysis

March Madness is here, and the office competition is just heating up

Get your bracket ready, baby. The NCAA tournament field of 68 has been picked, and March Madness is officially underway. Last year, 70 million people filled out a March Madness bracket. Yet, almost a third of all bosses say that March Madness has no place in the office, according to a new survey by Office Team. Chances are someone will be streaming a game from their phone during a meeting, so there's good reason that  employers should change their tune. While everyone has their own way of filling out their March Madness brackets, if you really want to beat Gary in accounting or Lisa in marketing, you'll need to bring your A-game. We've got some friendly tips to help you win your bracket pool. Need a bracket?  Print one here.

New Michael Brown surveillance video surfaces

Did police lie about what Michael Brown did in the hours before he was shot and killed by a police officer? The director of a new documentary says yes. Jason Pollock, one of the filmmakers of the documentary Stranger Fruit, said he believes new security footage shows Michael Brown exchanging marijuana for a bag of cigarillos hours before his death,  The New York Times reported. He believes Brown left the cigarillos behind and returned shortly before his death, not to rob the store, but to retrieve the cigarillos. The store's lawyer said no drugs were exchanged and that authorities and Brown's parents saw the video long ago. So, what's the big deal? In 2014, authorities released surveillance video of Brown  pushing a clerk at the store and allegedly stealing cigars. The move was slammed by residents and Brown supporters who said the police were trying to divert attention away from the officer who killed Brown and justify the shooting by blaming Brown.

Two jet skiers were saved minutes before a cruise ship ran over them

When most people go jet skiing, they're in it for the fun — not a near-death experience. But that's what happened to two jet skiers Saturday after one of their watercraft flipped  and a cruise ship departing from Port Canaveral closed in on them. Don't worry — this story has a happy ending: The duo were saved thanks to quick actions by a harbor pilot and a sheriff's deputy marine unit. While the cruise ship maneuvered away from the skiers, the sheriff's boat speeded toward them to pull them from the water to safety. This harrowing video, taken by a passenger aboard the ship, shows just how close the incident came to being catastrophic.

Is time running out for the Great Barrier Reef?

The Great Barrier Reef isn't doing so hot. Instead of the jaw-dropping colors you'd expect to see, whole swaths of the coral reef have turned white as the area experiences a massive coral bleaching for the second year in a row. During an aerial survey off the coast of Australia, researchers found  that bleaching is occurring in the central park of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, which had escaped severe bleaching in 2016. While some of the areas are expected to regain their normal color when temperatures drop, other parts of the reef have already experienced significant mortality of bleached coral. Sound scary? It is. Researcher say the reef is in "unchartered territory." And it's not just happening in the Great Barrier Reef. Warmer oceanic waters spurred by climate change  have led to an increase in coral bleaching around the world.
