President Trump says he would have run into Stoneman Douglas, without a gun. OK.

"I really believe I'd run in there even if I didn't have a weapon, and I think most of the people in this room would have done that, too," President Trump told a group of state governors gathered at the White House Monday for talks on multiple issues. While berating local law enforcement, Trump also outlined a gun control and school safety program that includes expanded background checks, eliminating "bump stocks," emphasizing mental health issues and arming "highly trained" teachers and school staff.

DACA isn't going anywhere — just yet

The U.S. Supreme Court isn't playing ball with the Trump administration on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program and the fate of nearly 700,000 undocumented immigrants who are part of it. On Monday, the Supreme Court refused to review a key California case dealing with the program. What does the ruling mean for DACA? For now, the program will remain in place, which means thousands of DACA recipients who thought deportation was imminent can breathe a sigh of relief. The president announced in September that he would end the Obama-era program and gave Congress until March 5 to find a solution. That deadline is now off the table.

"I think it's a pretty inappropriate question to ask a daughter if she believes the accusers of her father when he's affirmatively stated that there's no truth to it," Ivanka Trump said during an interview with NBC News in South Korea. "I don't think that's a question you would ask many other daughters." Of course, she isn't just the president's daughter: She's also one of his top advisers. The president has been accused by more than a dozen women of sexual misconduct. He and the White House have denied the allegations. Trump said she believes her father. "I know my father," she said.
