Good morning and happy Tuesday, Daily Money readers. Jayme Deerwester here with you, still recovering from the agina brought on by the last few minutes of the Bengals-Titans game. But at least my taxes are done!

Rock legend Neil Young is putting his streaming revenue where his mouth is. The Rock Hall of Famer wants Spotify to remove his music in response to the spread of COVID-19 vaccine misinformation on the platform – namely, "The Joe Rogan Experience" podcast.

"I want you to let Spotify know immediately TODAY that I want all my music off their platform," Young told his manager in an open letter Monday. "They can have (Joe) Rogan or Young. Not both."

He continued, "I am doing this because Spotify is spreading fake information about vaccines – potentially causing death to those who believe the disinformation being spread by them."

The Internal Revenue Service said it is reviewing complaints by some taxpayers who say that the IRS Letter 6419 sent to them spells out the wrong dollar amount for what the families received in 2021 for the advance payments of the child tax credit, which were issued each month from July through December. Is the spring homebuying season coming early this year? The increase in U.S. home prices appeared to slow down in the fall. But a rapid home value appreciation has reignited just ahead of the spring homebuying season, jumping from 1.2% in November to 1.4% in December, according to a new Zillow report.

Experts are blaming the return of big price gains on historically low levels of housing stock and a rush by potential homebuyers to beat a rise in mortgage rates.

"It is a hint to us that perhaps the spring homebuying season is coming early," says Alexandra Lee, an economist at Zillow. "We would usually expect the winter months to still be relatively slow. But with this re-acceleration and understanding just how hot the market has remained over the last year, the housing market is starting to heat up earlier than usual."
