Women today are breaking into executive suites but they are still outnumbered 5 to 1 at the top, a new USA TODAY analysis shows.

Women of color are outnumbered by men 26 to 1 in the S&P 100 leadership ranks, a gap five times wider than the disparity for white women.

USA TODAY examined the named executive officers at the nation's 100 top publicly traded companies who are the CEO, the chief financial officer and other people who serve in a handful of top-paid roles.

Men make up a stunning 83% of the 533 senior leaders despite efforts to shrink the gender gap, USA TODAY found.

Women are outnumbered 5 to 1 in senior leadership, according to a USA TODAY analysis of named executive officers at the nation's 100 top publicly traded companies.

What will it take to transform the demographics of power in corporate America?

"It is going to take people in power stepping back and relinquishing some of their power to people who have historically been shut out from those rare few golden seats,"  Kellie McElhaney, founding director of the Center for Equity, Gender And Leadership at University of California, Berkeley's Haas School of Business, told USA TODAY.

Donald Trump's YouTube channel is no longer restricted

YouTube announced that former President Donald Trump's channel is no longer restricted and he can upload new content after a two-year suspension following the Capitol riot.

"We carefully evaluated the continued risk of real-world violence, balancing that with the importance of preserving the opportunity for voters to hear equally from major national candidates in the run up to an election," Leslie Miller, vice president of YouTube Public Policy, shared in a statement to USA TODAY.

YouTube said in 2021 that the suspension would be lifted when it determined the risk of violence had decreased.

Trump's channel was blocked from uploading new videos after a mob of his supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol, part of a wave of suspensions issued by all of the major social media platforms.
