Are we at a Beyoncé concert or the DNC? Some states made sure their delegates were decked out with fun swag – from the Washington delegation's sashes that say "Cowboy Kamala," a reference to Beyoncé's latest album, Cowboy Carter (Kamala Harris loves Beyoncé) to Nevada sticking with the western theme with cowboy hats that said "First In The West " in a font reminiscent of an old western film. Harris last month at the vice president's mansion held a "pachanga" (as NextGen America communications president Antonio Arellano described to me) with Latino leaders from across the country, including one, Gaby Pacheco, who said the vice president won her over. Even as Latino leaders are throwing their support for Harris, her campaign is still trying to meet the voters where they are. Read more. |
