Account of Pentagon's sushi spending is satire

The statement attributed to Elon Musk about the purported spending is a fabrication that originated from an account that parodies the Tesla CEO.

A key committee advanced President Donald Trump's pick to be the nation's health secretary for consideration by the full Senate.

Musk has not publicly mentioned making any such donation to the families of Jan. 6 defendants. The claim originated on a satirical Facebook account.

The image was generated by artificial intelligence. The uncropped image contains a watermark that indicates it was made with AI.
