Have you checked your bank account today? Your economic impact payment may already be there. |
Good morning, Daily Money readers. This is Josh Rivera bringing you the top Money & Tech headlines. |
Let's get to main story: When it comes to the $600 stimulus checks, Americans who have direct deposit set up through the Internal Revenue Service could have received their payment as early as last night. Paper checks will begin to be mailed today, according to the Treasury Department. |
(And if you were wondering where we stand on the payments being bumped to $2,000, it seems unlikely. Our partners in Politics have the latest on what happened in the Senate to the proposal.) |
Speaking of money and government, we have the 2020-2021 federal tax brackets and tax rates for you to check out here. |
And as we approach the new year, USA TODAY reporters Nathan Bomey and Kelly Tyko looked into the retailers that survived 2021 and how 2021 is a "make it or break it" year for them. |
"While 2020 was a mess for many retailers, leading to the liquidation of chains like Stein Mart and Pier 1 Imports, it was a boon to others, like Walmart, Target and Dick's Sporting Goods," they say. |
I'll be back in your inbox tomorrow with more headlines! |
