Hey, it's Thursday. You know what that means: more tech news for your inbox. It's Brett Molina back again with your Talking Tech headlines.

Funny I'm writing this the day we learn about how much inflation is affecting us in July. Prices for some of our tech budgets are about to go up.

Let's start with Disney. The "House of Mouse" is raising the price for the ad-free version of Disney+. Starting Oct. 12, it will cost $13.99 a month, up from $10.99 a month. Same goes for the ad-free version of Hulu, climbing from $14.99 to $17.99.

It gets better. Disney has joined Netflix in cracking down on users who share their passwords. Disney CEO Bob Iger said the company is "actively exploring ways" to address account sharing.

But it's not just Disney. Spotify and Peacock are raising prices, too.

Remember when streaming was supposed to provide the cheap alternative to cable? Yeah, I miss those days.

Meanwhile, Verizon customers on older wireless plans will have to open up their wallets . The telecommunications giant said customers on Go Unlimited, Beyond Unlimited, Above Unlimited and Start 1.0 plans will be charged an extra $3 per month. Single Basic Phone plan customers will pay $5 more monthly.

Until next week. Thanks for reading!
