Michael Cohen, a key witness in Donald Trump's hush money trial, will continue testifying Tuesday after he provided the Manhattan jury with details of Trump's response to the threat of adult film star Stormy Daniels coming forward in 2016. |
Crucially for the prosecution, Trump's former lawyer said on Monday said Trump authorized him to pay Daniels $130,000 to stay quiet about an alleged affair in an effort to protect Trump's campaign prospects. |

Maryland holds a tough primary amid Tuesday races |
Voters in three states will cast ballots in competitive primaries on Tuesday, including in pivotal Senate races that will set the stage for the November general election. In Maryland, the race to replace Sen. Ben Cardin, D-Md., who's retiring at the end of the year, is already among the most expensive elections in the state's history. Hurricane season could be 'extremely active' |
The El Niño climate pattern is transitioning toward La Niña, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. There's a 60% chance La Niña will form by June into August, and a higher chance by fall, leading to a likely impact on the hurricane season.
