Maduro to appear in New York federal court after capture: Live updates

Trump's announcement came hours after a lightning pre-dawn attack in which special forces grabbed Maduro and his wife -- while air strikes pounded sites in and around the capital city -- then whisked him out of the country.

Maduro is set to appear in federal court in New York City after being captured over the weekend during U.S. strikes on Venezuelan soil.
