Trump rehires thousands of probationary workers |
You're fired. Now you're rehired. President Donald Trump 's administration has been ordered to reinstate more than 24,000 probationary federal workers it had dismissed. A federal judge ruled the administration's sweeping effort to shrink the government was illegal, a move that came after thousands were already terminated on or after Jan. 20. While it's a setback for Trump and the Elon Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency, the two are continuing to trim the federal workforce. See which agencies are rehiring workers. |

Israel-Gaza ceasefire deal in jeopardy | More than 400 people were killed in Gaza following Israeli air strikes, the Hamas-run Gaza health ministry said Tuesday, in what appeared to be the most intense assault on the enclave since a ceasefire took effect in January. Israel's military described the strikes as "extensive." Palestinian health ministry officials said many of those who died were children.
