Friday, June 26

Good morning! Today is Friday, June 26 and I'm Tim G., here to get you ready for the best day of the week (so far). Today we're breaking down 20 recent first-round NFL draft picks that are close to the hot seat and we revisit one of the saddest 'what-if' stories in sports historyScroll down to see the rest of today's biggest stories, but first:

We asked why you fell in love with sports. These are those stories.

Today's memory is from reader Scott Rapport of West Hartford, Conn.:

It was July 4th, 1983. Dave Righetti had already piqued my interest as a young southpaw. But that day solidified my Yankees Fandom and a love of sports that still exists today. I remember how excited my Dad was becoming at the possibility of a no-hitter and naturally that excitement jumped to me because I had never witnessed a one before.
