I'm from Louisville and my family has had Kentucky football season tickets since Commonwealth Stadium opened. It was 1991, I was 7 years old and I was cold. But it was my first game. |

I don't remember a single thing that happened until the end. The score was tied at 17 and Kentucky was lining up for a 53-yard field goal. Doug Pelfrey, who would later spend seven seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals, unleashed a rocket that I remember thinking was too low. It wasn't. Kentucky won a meaningless game - and it was the absolute best. |
