The Consumer Product Safety Commission says Bissell is recalling its multi-surface cordless vacuum after it received several reports of the battery pack smoking and catching fire. |
Bissell said the battery pack's circuit board can overheat, causing it to smoke and increasing the risk of fire. |
The vacuum maker issued the recall after Bissell said it received dozens of reports of the battery smoking, including five in which it caught fire, according to the CPSC. |
One report resulted in a burn while three caused minor property damage, the CPSC said. |
