SCOTUS denies Ghislaine Maxwell appeal |
The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear an appeal from Ghislaine Maxwell , the convicted sex trafficker and associate of the late Jeffrey Epstein. Maxwell's lawyers had argued that a deal Epstein struck with federal prosecutors in Florida should have prevented her from being charged in New York. |
What did she do? She's currently serving a 20-year prison sentence after being convicted in 2021 of trafficking a minor to engage in sex with Epstein. The case has bedeviled President Donald Trump, who knew Epstein. Why the High Court rejected the case. |

What experts say: Different financial analysts and surveys disagree on the exact number, and part of that stems from variations in the cost of living across the U.S. So we asked: How far can a median amount, $1.5 million, go in your state? |
