Just one week to go until Election Day. No pressure or anything. The Air Force had a little spending problem. And are the Los Angeles Dodgers headed toward another World Series title?

👋Howdy y'all! Laura Davis here. It's Tuesday. What's been going on? Let's take a look.

To ballot selfie, or not to ballot selfie, that is the question. For some. In some states, taking a picture with your ballot isn't even an option – like, against the law. Laws surrounding sharing photos or other content from the polls vary, with states divided on how to both permit free speech and protect voting secrecy. So, you might want to cheese in the voter booth, but make sure you check your state's laws first. 🤳 See the photo laws for each state.

A spendy soap dispenser

The Air Force needs to clean up its act on buying spare parts for its workhorse C-17 plane. The Pentagon inspector general blasted the Air Force on Tuesday for spending 80 times the commercial rate for soap dispensers.

By the numbers: The Air Force overpaid $149,072 for the plastic-bodied pump dispenser, inspector general Robert Storch found. The bottom line, according to Storch, is that the Air Force overpaid nearly $1 million for a dozen different types of spare parts, meaning others can't be bought, which could affect the readiness of the plane to fly missions. 🛩️ We break it down.

A World Series sweep?

Put some champagne on ice because the World Series is almost over. The Los Angeles Dodgers can finish off a sweep of the New York Yankees with a victory Tuesday night. After cruising to a win in Monday's Game 3, the Dodgers have a 3-games-to-0 lead in the World Series – a deficit only one baseball team in postseason history has ever overcome. And the Dodgers know it: They've already tentatively scheduled a parade in downtown Los Angeles on Friday. ⚾️ More from columnist Bob Nightengale.
