@RebeccaMorin_

Greetings, readers. It's Rebecca Morin, senior national news reporter at USA TODAY. Raise your hand if you need another cup of coffee. (Me, I raised my hand.)

We're exactly ONE WEEK out from Election Day. Can you believe it? A lot of movement is happening in the 2024 election as Kamala Harris makes her "closing argument" in Washington today and Donald Trump hits up Allentown, Pennsylvania. Follow along here.

Kamala Harris to remind voters of Jan. 6 attack in speech at Ellipse

Kamala Harris is set to make her "closing argument" to voters tonight at the same location where Donald Trump spoke hours before thousands of his supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol in an effort to overturn his election loss on Jan. 6, 2021. Harris will draw a contrast between her potential presidency and Trump's, laying out a "to-do list" to bring down prices and address issues important to the American public. Read more.

Harris' speech comes days after Trump made one of his closing arguments to voters at Madison Square Garden, which was overshadowed by racism and vitriol at the rally.
