Harris breaks with Biden over 'garbage' comment about Trump's supporters |
It was supposed to be Vice President Kamala Harris' night Tuesday. President Joe Biden said that himself. But a gaffe by the president caused Harris to spend Wednesday morning cleaning up Biden's comments where he appeared to refer to former President Donald Trump's supporters as "garbage." Harris said she strongly disagreed with "any criticism of people based on who they vote for," but noted Biden said he was only talking about insulting jokes at Trump's weekend NYC rally. Read more. |

Donald Trump on Tuesday held a rally in Allentown, Pennsylvania – a city where almost half the population is Latino and many are Puerto Rican. Trump has tried to distance himself from jokes a comedian made at his Madison Square Garden rally calling Puerto Rico a "floating island of garbage." But the former president didn't get a very warm welcome from Boricuas in Allentown. |
