~ L., 32, an office worker who has been in the U.S. for two years, is among many Haitians legally living and working in the U.S. under a Temporary Protected Status that is soon to disappear under the Trump administration. Many affected Haitians told USA TODAY they have yet to decide what to do: Return to their tumultuous country, 700 miles from Miami, stay illegally in the U.S. or relocate to another country altogether. |
