The Department of Homeland Security has launched Operation Midway Blitz, an initiative targeting undocumented immigrants accused of committing crimes across Chicago and Illinois. Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement that the operation will go after "the worst of the worst" and accused Illinois Democratic Gov. JB Pritzker and other local politicians of releasing gang members, rapists, kidnappers and drug traffickers who put lives at risk. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Tuesday that his country "takes full responsibility" for an unprecedented airstrike on Hamas leadership in Doha, Qatar's capital. The strike came after six Israelis were shot dead by Palestinian gunmen outside Jerusalem on Monday and marked an expansion of Israeli military actions.
