It's finally Friday, Daily Money readers. Brett Molina here to bring you the latest headlines in Money and Tech.

Americans really love SUVs, and that passion is a big reason why automakers are ditching more affordable and fuel efficient subcompact cars. General Motors is the latest to drop subcompact vehicles, discontinuing the Chevrolet Sonic. And as gas prices remain lower and our love for the SUV grows, we may never go back to small cars.
