Trump's National Guard deployment blocked | A federal judge on Monday blocked President Donald Trump's deployment of the National Guard in California, ruling that there was no justification for the June deployment to Los Angeles and that plans to expand it to other cities risked using the military for domestic law enforcement. The judge noted that troops had set up perimeters, engaged in crowd control and otherwise demonstrated a military presence, actions he said went beyond legal limits. The case comes as Trump has threatened similar deployments in other cities, raising questions about the limits of presidential authority over the National Guard. 👉 Follow for the latest developments. |
Chicago up next?
