Georgia charges against Trump dropped |
A judge in Georgia dropped state charges against President Donald Trump and his co-defendants at the prosecutor's request. Trump and others were accused of interfering in the 2020 election. |
Peter Skandalakis, the executive director of the Prosecuting Attorneys' Council of Georgia, said in a motion filed in the Fulton County Superior Court that he believes declining to prosecute the case any further would best "serve the interests of justice and promote judicial finality" in the case. Prosecutor Fani Willis, who brought the case against Trump, was disqualified. |
