Nicole Fallert here, start the week with our News Quiz. We have the news to know on Monday, from a deal to end war in Iran to the Carolina Hurricanes' second-ever Stanley Cup.
Did a deal to end the war get signed?
Here's what we know: President Donald Trump and Iranian officials announced that a deal to end the Iran war has been reached, a preliminary pact that sent oil prices falling but leaves the fate of the nation's nuclear program to further talks.
Following the announcement of the deal, oil prices fell: Trump indicated that the deal will reopen the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for lifting the United States blockade of Iranian ports, but additional details were not immediately disclosed. An official signing ceremony is planned for June 19 in Switzerland.
What Iran said: Iran Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi confirmed an immediate and permanent end to the war, telling Iranian state TV that military operations on various fronts, including Lebanon, will cease.

When grief shows up at work
For most people, grief at work is not a matter of if, it’s when. At any given time, 1 in 9 workers are mourning the loss of a loved one, according to workplace bereavement firm Bereave. What corporate policies largely ignore? Loss can linger for months or years – long past what most companies plan for – yet employees in one of the darkest moments of their lives typically get just three to five days of bereavement leave and then they are expected to get back to work and back to normal.
