Why the next two weeks are critical to the college football season

It's easy to know when I fell in love with sports. Today's memory is from reader Don Bach of Palm Coast, Fla: 

It's easy to know when I fell in love with sports. It was when I inherited an old family bike that gave me the mobility to ride to a local school. It was adjacent to a playground that included a baseball field, a basketball court, and an open field just suited for football. And with a small basket and a glove or helmet slung over the handlebar, that bike was perfect for carrying all the equipment needed. The time was 1952 and I was 14.
