Everyone said her daughter was doing fine. But this mom knew better.

Carmen Joly, 10, had trouble in school and was later diagnosed with dyslexia. Her mother, Lindsay Poveromo-Joly, took Carmen out of the public school system to try homeschooling. Poveromo-Joly says homeschooling works best for her kids.

Lindsay Poveromo-Joly said her daughter would cry under her desk avoiding schoolwork. Her pediatrician was the first person who took it seriously.
