GM accused of selling faulty transmissions in class-action lawsuit

A lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court accuses General Motors of knowingly selling some 800,000 vehicles with faulty transmissions.

Hyundai and Kia are recalling more than 550,000 cars and minivans in the U.S., Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021,  because the turn signals can flash in the opposite direction of what the driver intended. The recall covers Hyundai's Sonata midsize car from the 2015 through 2015 model years, and Sonata gas-electric hybrids from 2016 and 2017. Kia's Sedona minivan from 2015 through 2017 also is affected.
 

23 attorneys general demand Kia, Hyundai take action on thefts

Nearly two dozen attorneys general penned a letter to Kia and Hyundai urging the carmakers to take action against the "crisis of thefts" in the U.S.

Ford, Honda recall over 1.9 million vehicles: Check car recalls here

Ford issued several recalls for its vehicles, including 1.28 million Fusion and MKZ models. Honda also recalled some of its models.

Over 1 million Ford Fusions and Lincoln MKZs recalled over brake issue

The recall covers Ford Focus and Lincoln MKZ model years 2013-2018, according to an NHTSA recall report.

The 2022 Ford Explorer was among the 13 SUVs that the IIHS tested for front crash protection.

Honda recalls 448,000 cars including Accords, CR-Vs for faulty seatbelts

Honda said the seatbelt assembly in some vehicles, such as the Accord and CR-V, were improperly manufactured. The recall also impacts an Acura model.

KIA Motors logo is seen on a K7 sedan at a showroom in Seoul, South Korea.  Kia is recalling over a half-million vehicles in the U.S. because the air bags may not work in a crash. The recall apparently is related to federal investigation into air bag failures in Kia and partner Hyundai vehicles that were linked to four deaths. Vehicles covered by the recall include 2010 through 2013 Forte compact cars and 2011 through 2013 Optima midsize cars. Also covered are Optima Hybrid and   Sedona minivans from 2011 and 2012.

Kia issued a massive recall for 189,000 new K5 vehicles over an airbag issue. Other manufacturers with recalls include Hyundai, Nissan and Toyota.
