Actor Lance Reddick, best known for 'The Wire,' dies at 60

 

Actor Lance Reddick best known for his work on HBO's "The Wire" and the "John Wick" movie series, has died at age 60.

Cluster bomb survivor Yong Kham, 64, in November 2022 in Sepon, Laos. Most of his childhood was spent in a muddy, foul trench or dark cave to avoid death. Decades later, in 2003, his eldest son was killed by cluster bombs while collecting wood and scraps.
 

Don't send cluster bombs to Ukraine. They kill long after the war.

 

As war rages on in Ukraine, the question of whether the U.S. should supply cluster munitions keeps resurfacing. The answer is absolutely not.

'Jurassic Park' star Sam Neill diagnosed with stage 3 blood cancer

 

Actor Sam Neill, 75, is undergoing treatment after getting diagnosed with stage three blood cancer, according to a new interview.

Meanwhile, the number of libraries and archives increased by 2.2%.    One factor in the decline in U.S. library employment may be cash-strapped local municipalities. In the face of revenue shortfalls, some local governments are replacing retiring library workers with volunteers. The decreased need for workers may also be attributable to increasingly infrequent library use. According to a recent Pew study, only 44% of Americans visit a library at least once in a year, down from over half of all Americans three years prior.
